Don't know what to do on Fridays? Do you like food and trucks? If you combine it and with a little gastronomic flair you have street foods on wheels. Food trucks, let's eat! All right folks, we've made it, it's the first Friday of June and from here on out every Fridays (sometimes on Thursdays) festivals like this pops up at the Olympic Park. I don't know if its just me but I am always excited about street food compared to restaurants. Maybe because of our innate heritage of communal eating in the Philippines. Whatever it is, I am glade I'm in a city with numerous choices. Excited enough to try? Because these kinds of food are mobile and tricky to hunt, here's a website that can help you with that, visit Street Food Quest or download their app from their website (Note: I am not being paid to endorse their website but very helpful especially on drunken nights). When is it?This festival is one of Canada’s largest food truck festivals. First Fridays (or Les Premiers Vendredis) goes down at Olympic Stadium in the first Friday of every month from May to October. Each event runs from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. So if you don't have any plans this tonight, grab your friends and go there now. You'll have a blast! If you missed it, no worries, there is always next month of first Fridays until October. Aside from a huge variety of food truck eats, First Fridays has a bar, artisan market and live music sometimes multiple bands playing at the same time at various stages set-up all over the area. Plan your visitIt's been a wet month lately in Montreal. I do suggest carrying an umbrella if you are going. Everything is happening outdoors. Don't trust too much on the weather apps out there. If you have lived in Montreal longer than 6 months then you'll know that the weather changes so fast here and very hard to predict. Bring some extra small cash, just in case some trucks don't accept debit and or credit cards. You don't want to miss out some tasty treats, now do you? SummaryWhat?
