Just when you thought winter is over it comes back with greater ferocity. The past week has been a dream. We were blessed with positive degrees. Strolls and even picnics at the park was possible. Now we dip back to the negatives at the end of the week and some say winter has one more trick up its sleeve -- the big one! Let's hope not. Today as I write this, Environmental Canada says, "we will have periods of light snow ending early this afternoon then clearing. Wind west 40 km/h gusting to 60. Temperature falling to minus 8 this afternoon". Meanwhile fun fact, the lowest recorded temperature so far this winter's season in Canada goes to in Eureka, NU at -44 °C. But the lowest recorded temperature ever in Canadian history is at whopping −63 °C in Snag, Yukon on February 3, 1947. Canada pa more? So don't stow away your winter gear just yet. Stay warm and stay safe everyone.
